PlayBonker — Sports Ground Booking

Overview

PlayBonker helps players get on the field faster. We designed and built a web platform to discover and book grounds and courts — cricket, football, golf and more — across multiple cities. The experience centres on a clear city, sport and date search, ground listings with transparent pricing, and a smooth path from browsing to a confirmed booking.

The challenge

Booking a ground or court traditionally means phone calls, uncertainty about availability and no easy way to compare options or prices. For players it’s frustrating; for venue owners it means empty slots. The challenge was to make finding and reserving a place to play as quick and certain as booking a movie ticket — across a large, growing inventory of venues.

Our approach

We centred the whole experience on one decision: where to play, which sport, and when. Everything was designed to get users from that search to a confirmed booking in as few steps as possible, while still scaling gracefully across many cities and hundreds of grounds. We also considered venue owners, giving them a way to list and manage their grounds.

Design

The interface leads with a prominent city / sport / date search, followed by browsable “exclusive grounds” with imagery and clear pricing, detailed venue pages and a straightforward cart-and-account flow. An energetic green brand and sporty photography set an active, motivating tone, while a clean layout keeps the booking path obvious at every step.

Development

We developed the responsive web front-end — search and filtering, listing and detail pages, cart, and booking and account management — structured to handle a large and growing inventory of grounds across cities. Support for managing and bulk bookings, plus listing a ground, rounds out both sides of the marketplace.

Process & delivery

We prototyped the search-to-booking journey first, because that flow is the whole product, then designed listings and venue pages around it. Building on a responsive front-end, we made sure the experience held up across many cities and a large, growing inventory, and treated venue owners as a second, equally important user of the platform.
