CryptoApp — Crypto Portfolio App

Overview

CryptoApp gives investors a calm, legible view of a notoriously volatile market. We designed a clean mobile dashboard for tracking total portfolio balance, individual holdings such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, all-time performance and quick actions — turning dense, fast-moving market data into something a user can read and act on in seconds.

The challenge

Crypto is intimidating and volatile, and most apps make it worse with cluttered charts, jargon and information overload. The challenge was to give users a calm, confident view of a fast-moving portfolio at a single glance — surfacing what matters immediately while keeping deeper detail available but out of the way.

Our approach

We prioritised ruthlessly, starting from one question: what does someone need to see the moment they open the app? That led to a dashboard built around a single hero number — portfolio balance — with performance context and holdings right beneath it, and everything else just a tap away. Clarity, not density, drove every decision.

Design

The mobile dashboard leads with total portfolio balance and all-time performance, supported by a clear line chart and a list of holdings like Bitcoin and Ethereum showing values and change. Green and red cues plus a bright teal palette make gains and losses instantly readable, so users understand their position at a glance rather than deciphering it.

Development

We developed the mobile front-end with real-time balances and price data, interactive charts, holdings management and quick add and trade actions. The interface stays responsive and legible even as live market feeds update — the hard engineering work of making volatile data feel calm and controlled.

Process & delivery

We started by ranking information by importance, then designed the dashboard around that hierarchy, with the hero balance first, performance next, holdings below and everything else a tap away. Interactions were prototyped against live-feeling data before build, so the team could be sure the interface stayed calm and legible even as the numbers moved.
